Relief Operations Ukraine

Because there is hope

Since February 24th there is war in Ukraine. Many people are now fleeing to neighboring countries and to Germany. We as Hoffnungswerk have established contact with various initiatives, organizations, and local partners, and wanted to know where exactly help is needed and what we as Hoffnungswerk can do.

Our Contribution

We want to support local partners (communities, associations, other organizations), first in Poland and later also in Romania and other countries that take in refugees. We want to help pick up the people from the border, to take care of them and find them a new home. To do this work, we need your support!

Your Contribution

In teams of 5, you will travel to local outreach sites for at least 5 days and support our partners on-site. It would be an advantage if you speak Russian or English – but this is not a prerequisite.
We are looking for drivers and means of transport (buses/minibuses/sprinters) to drive to Poland and Romania. We would like to bring relief goods to the border regions and accompany people to Germany on the way back. You can travel to Poland as part of a team and bring refugees to Germany as a train conductor or driver.
